Coulomb unveils electric-car charging stations

Conveniently just in time for the Plug-In 2008 conference in San Jose, Coulomb Technologies is unveiling an electric car charging station. “The company’s products include 110-volt outlets that can be outfitted in public and mounted on poles, such as streetlights.” Pardon me while I yawn (a bit). The NEMA standards includes a 120 volt power outlet that is safe to use outdoors and is perfect for charging electric vehicles. I use outdoor charging all the time with my electric vehicles.
